  • Hi jetfreak4 ...THX for the kind words. I was planning to fly with the HFF DC-7B this year (June), but the flight never happened, so mayby next year...? So if you are in the Miami area...check with the HFF at Opa Locka.

  • I salute you, mprophet100. We all love the swinging sound of P & W radials. 170 knots--we are all with you on your flights. You are the leading uploader of the hall of fame props.

    Any C-97 or C-124 vids?

  • My Dad was a captain on the DC3, DC4 and the DC6...Love the video here...Would love to take another trip on one of those planes again someday!! Love the sound of the engines!!

  • @jetfreak4 I would think highly unlikely since a DC4 doesn't use nearly as much fuel as the DC7 plus they go to very remote areas that don't have large runways

  • Awesome big growl of the Pratt and Whitneys on takeoff!. There is no comparison to the radial sound!

  • god, I love radial engines.....Pratt & Whitney R-2000 Twin Wasps <3

  • Great video. If I'm correct this aircraft served w/American Airlines after WW2, & was at one time named "Tasmanian Tiger". Keep'em flying !!

  • man, i just love your videos...

  • Please tell me you are going to fly a DC-7 soon. Your videos are giving me opportunities to go back to an era well before I was born. By the time I was born, these planes had been rare for almost 20 years.
