Having attended all of Horowitz’s Massey Hall concerts in the 70‘s,
I had the distinct impression he was really enjoying himself. I also think
that Massey Hall was like a comfotable old sock. It helped also that
he was received graciously by the local media, getting front page coverage
in the Toronto Star for example each time he came to town.

delicatessen..... the fingers obey, everything is very clear and controlled.
on this base the interpretation gets pleasure here..... and there is no tension as in New Yorks Carnegy hall performances. more free play here.
