  • Point is, a lot of books out there is someone's interpretation. But if they can help don't knock it. God uses things we don't realize. You seem to be pushing a book that you are not totally " sold" on but you think every Christian should read it. But not Johns books because he uses stories as a pointer. Hmmm everyone has their opinion. I just think it is best not to judge if we don't know someone's heart. Just sayin

  • Ok, I see a problem. I have read a few of John Eldrege books but also other books as well, since reading his books, it does not make me want to run out there and rent every myth based movie, but there is some solid biblical basis he backs up in his books! If we all would stop judging and critiquing and read, take the truth out of it, pray a about it, the God will show you the right way. I came out of a deep depression by reading a "spiritual teacher" book, that doesn't mean I am going to follo

  • the book is presented in such a way to be understood very clearly...that is why he quotes movies....but really, you critique other people's work??? what have you written thats so great??? so that i can read it and tell you its garbage!!! see how stupid i sounded there? well sir you sound the same way! goodbye!

  • We're worth nothing. Nonetheless he chooses to save us. - err... Sir, how about "You are precious and honored in my sight..." (Isaiah 43:4)

  • Jesus died of a BROKEN HEART. MEDICALLY. Sir. It was a medical observation. I think you can research on that. Our staff from Campus Crusade Christ was the one who shared that information to us.

  • Dear TF, The emotion you bring to the table concerning a book U didnt wanna read is notable, If you would, try speaking to yourself in the mirror 40 minutes each nite (10 min X four parts) using the same rapid fire emotion, I'd bet you'd find something God can work on in your life.Scripture says, Do your best to live at peace with all...and Blessed is the peacemaker. Pumping your adrenalin highs may be personally rewarding, yet its destructive for both your body, and The Body.

  • John Eldredge is trying to express the heart of God for a lost and sinful world. Because you don't believe that God so loved the world, you don't have love for non-Christians because they are not redeemed, according to you. And you know what Jesus said about people who don't love - they are not born of God. Be careful that in your zealousness for the truth (which I agree with) you don't forget to love! Gal 2:20 I no longer live. JC

  • 'for a while'?

I can't believe what I am hearing... I am speechless.

Christianity has a huge problem with its theology. The only hope in God... fortunately.
