Once Ubuntu has been installed, connect your machine to the internet (some wireless cards arent supported after a vanilla install; in this case connect with a patch cable). Shortly after connecting, you'll get a request to update from the Update Manager. Update your machine (make sure your adapter is connected before you run update, and click "Check" to refresh updates), and reboot. Your wireless adapter should work.once the machine is up again.
