Bluegrass Bombers at Wildwood Park

Bluegrass Bombers (aka The Volleyballjones Pickers) playing in a bluegrass band competition, October 24, 2009. The event was held at Wildwood Park in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was a beautiful sunny day, 65 degrees, and the leaves had just started turning their fall colors.
Each band was asked to perform three songs. We chose "The Old Home Place," "All About You," and "Milk Cow Blues."
Besides the band contest, there were competitions for playing individual instruments like fiddle, dobro, flatpicking guitar, banjo and mandolin. It was a pretty neat deal.

We won 3rd place, and a check for $75.00.

1st and 2nd place was won by bands (1/3 our age) who were really good.
