The proposed scholarship voucher program has flaws that are magnified in the wake of recent budget cuts. NJASA Executive Director Dr. Richard Bozza explains that the program could take much-needed funds from public schools and divert them to private and religious education. This is at a time when the state cannot fully fund the School Reform Funding Act for all of New Jerseys public schools. Reconsider the voucher program once the state can fund its public schools, says the NJASA.

  • What a load of Crap. Private schools exist to give parents a voice in their child's education, unlike public schools, where they have no choice or recourse, no matter how badly their public school is. This bill would justly divert money taken from the people into the schools they want their children to attend. Public schools do not just need more money, as this man would have you believe, they need more accountability. They will never be accountable without free, unrestricted competition.
