As Shakespeare once said 'Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediment.....' -It is a little known fact (if not an un-known fact....) that these two-dimensional Icons of the Enigmatic Smile are having a little Cross-Channel 'affaire'. Somehow or other love has found its way from the walls of the Wallace collection in London to those of The Louvre in Paris! How this conjunction has escaped more general notice until the present is a mystery but not one evidently, that has eluded Gruntlesnoot....
