The FIRST time I saw this video I was starting out in Argentine Tango a while ago, after having done American Tango. I saw this video I thought there was nothing impressive about it. I was immediately attracted to Chicho, Sebastian Arce and other flashy dancers. A couple of years later, having learned a billion moves to do and while I still worship Chicho and Arce, I find myself coming back to this video and seeing it in a new way. It's about "connection".
Everybody has it's own style...but i think there are some styles that have to continue...Orlando you are a great dancer, thank for continuing with your Father's style.
Wow, people keep asking me if I am related to these guys, I have the same last name. But all my family are from San Diego, not Santa Monica. There are not a lot of Paiva's around. Good thing-us Portuguese are a tempermental lot! But we strive for the better things in life. LOL I take ballroom in Lancaster at AV college and Hi Desert Dance Company.
he is the son, not the father. If you didn't notice...2 different persons. Let me ask you...are you exactly like you father? if that is the case...I'm sad for you. You can "look" like your dad, dance "alike" your dad, or his style...but allways being youself. Why don't you post a video of your dance, so we can see if you have ANY "magic"?

Tiene calidad che! y una postura muy rara en el tango, como si se fuera adelante con la cadera. El padre bailaba asi? Paiva es un mito en Rosario :)
