New species of elephant shrew

This is the only existing footage of newly discovered species the Grey-faced sengi (Rhynchocyon udzungwensis). Captured on a video camera-trap in Ndundulu Forest, Tanzania, 4th June 2007, by Trevor Jones, Anglia Ruskin University.

Thanks. I´m a german journalist and i will write an article about elephant shrews (only Rhynchocyon). You can read about it, but nothing is more fascinating than pictures of the living animal.

Beautiful image. I have seen before about 15 years ago. It is an old critter, not new. Just because you just saw it, it does not mean it has to be new.

Shrews are wonderful, even though elephant shrews or tree shrews aren't true shrews, they are "true shrews" as I define it. The most under-rated mammal species by far, thanks for this clip it is fascinating.
