Experiencing New Zealand's indigenous Māori culture first hand is one of the main reasons visitors come to Aotearoa, but there's a lot more to it than the legendary haka. Māoritanga or Māori culture has a defining influence on Kiwi culture, is unique to the world and deserves special consideration.

  • I'm white Anglo Saxon and couldn't be prouder, if you can't hear me now, I'LL YELL A LITTLE LOUDER!!!

  • @GrandTheftFreedom And because england had no desire to wipe them out completely when they defeated them. The diseases the british had long since become resistant took it's toll in the maori population big time.

  • what do mean its the youngest country on earth that sounds like a stupid thing to say

  • @GrandTheftFreedom hell yea!

did you know that when the british where assualting this place(dont remember)

they where suprised at how the maori's put their defence up

they dug a trench under a wall/fence so they had enough cover and so they just volleyed with musket fire,

the british took heavy losses and retreated even they where shocked at this new tactic the maoris made

i think thats how it wen't

  • I definitely have to go to NZ one day.

  • @ecconz This fucking guy.... where did you get that statistic, out your ass?

Sound's like you're basing your statement off of a personal experience with no true accuracy.

  • @242didou 99.9% aren't like this in real life ...... they are scum.

  • I'd like to meet u people... Just need a bit more money for the flight! I heard that some maoris dont like white people. That makes me a bit worried about travelling down there... Answers? :)

  • this is amazing!

  • Waoh those wood carvers are really something, very talented. NZ a great place I want to go back there again one day. It seems like a high spirited place to me, people are happy

  • good video

  • @KaylinJH Not all of us Maoris are like that :)

I really hate those Maoris that make us look bad especially those wannabe gangstas

  • @insanelylogical Bro whats with the racisim? i am Maori we are a proud people and we have much right to be proud, but to slag insult to one such as KaylinJH makes you no better then him/her....holding pride in your ancestry is a good thing, but to throw disrespect at the white man, or even at someone as hateful as KaylinJH only breeds hate and arrogance in yourself. If you are not careful with your emotions, they will consume you and eventually destroy you.

    Aroha Bro

  • @KaylinJH , The full bloods yes. But don't get angry because a few white whores in your family decided to open up their legs to the Maori cock. Even they considered Maori much better partners than their own smelly, diseased white men.

  • @tomtiage really? try go to some of the beaches up north these days, see if they let you near them without threat of violence... Oh you can go there but you have to play the moaris.. its THEIR beach dont you know.. worse then kaffirs in south africa.

  • @Thunda1986 im sorry didnt the last moari die off? arent all of you half breeds now? you know coffee and cream?

  • @tomtiage don't feel bad just feel happy because we exsist

  • Tino Rangatiratanga

I've been around the world many times an met lots of different people. My first visit to New Zealand was 1987 and I found Maori people to be the most warmhearted people I ever met. Unfortunately I am stuck in a pakeha body........... Does anyone else know this feeling?
