If you won't stand behind our troops, then feel free to stand in front of them.

Some food for thought:
It's the Soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
It's the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It's the Soldier, not the politicians that ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It's the Soldier who salutes the flag, whoserves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.

@caska99 this has to be one of the best poems ever written.

I like the U.N., but let's see... uhh... 0.
-
We're sure going to miss you Matt.
-
Can you please tell me how many "Wars" the U.N has successfuly ended since it's creation after the Second World War?
-
This "war" is in the hands of the UN. Canada is part of that.
-
This Highway does so much to make a family proud of their own.

One of THESE particular troops was my brother. And I KNOW that he was not racist in anyway! Some of his best and closest friends were not caucasion. He loved to travel and meet people from all corners of the world, so I can be supported when I say he was not afraid of foreign people!
Canadians don't "wannabee" like Americans. We are a country who belives aiding those striving for a better life!
Nobody deserves to be killed, ESPECIALLY our troops who try to help civilians on foreign soil.

How isn't it the same? You replace the trees with caves and you still have the same extremist youth using hit and run tactics and suitcase bombs, just a different cause and time. The entire country was filled with ally troops engaging them. From all I can see is is that your "college buddy" died for nothing from your point of view. You're so proud to be Canadian its Taiwan that graces your profile! Your opinion, ha ha, non applicable as you're not even in the Country, or ashamed to be in it.
-
As you were't clear about time period you were referring to, your argument was left open to interpretation - Ok, so they were an active organization under both the Nazis and the postwar occupying allied forces. Either way, conventional troops did not engage them and defeat them militarily - not exactly. Still not a good comparison for Canadians fighting in Afganistan to stop terrorism. Whatever man, you've got it all figured out, go kill some terrorists, then come back and pump my gas, bitch!
-
Actually if you did your research, they also fought the allies post-war using tactics we'd consider terrorism today. It doesn't surprise me you only like reading what makes you look good then stopping.

My family has been in the Canadian military for the last 5 generations but I will be honest to say I cannot support this "War" in Iraq/Afganistan. This is G.W.Bush's war, not Canada's, and these men are dying in vain. Canadians should not be there, period.

Please remember what this video represents, it is a show of support by Canadians, for our troops. Not necessarily for the war.

I am glad that so many of you are viewing this in the spirit in which I shot the video. This is a message of support to our Canadian soldiers. For those of you who are confused about it, this represents a grass-roots movement by Canadian citizens to come out and show their support as the soldiers were repatriated to Toronto. This stretch of the 401 between Trenton and Toronto has been renamed the Highway of Heroes.
