Something magical about not just his voice or musical ability with instruments but more so on how magical it is on how he uses his voice - Remarkable! Thank goodness you help keep this type of music alive!

This is great stuff. Saw Jeff many moons ago at the Yale in Vancouver, he will be missed. The two of them playing off against each other, fantastic.

Awesome song,amazing talent that was greatly under appreciated by the Canadian music industry.I remember reading through an email the day Jeff had passed on due to his rare form of eye cancer called Retinoblastoma (which his son also has inherited from him).I thought it was a joke as I couldn't believe what I was reading.But it was true and basically I cried my eyes out harder then I'd imagine for almost a year.I've never knew Jeff but I adored him since I was only 6 yrs old.R.I.P Jeff! I Miss U

I still have the CD, though I think it's over at my brother's house. Must remember to get it off him next time I see him!
The best Mark Knopfler version in my opinion is the one that appeared on a UK music programme called Rock Steady back in 1990, with the Notting Hillbillies. Great blues sound from Mark and superb pedal steel guitar from Paul Franklin.
I have it on VHS somewhere, but it's also Youtube, I think.
