  • nice video :

  • jackson browne is a true musician

  • After Phyllis died, JB co-wrote 'here come those tears again' w/Phyllis' mom( ty 2 Rose Butler 4 those harmonies)always thought 'fountain of sorrow' was about joni. 'for a dancer' is forever my favorite and having seen 100 of his shows, I cry every time I hear that song. Arrived in the 80's filling in Nicolette's backup singer gig for Hoyt Axton for 4 years-did a cd w the incomparable Mr. Lindley. they are all my hero's and they live and breath for the song...I can tell you that.

  • The best line in the song is a life truth most of us miss: "go ahead and sow some seeds of your own and sometime between the time you come and the time you go may be a reason you were alive that you'll never know."

  • This song is amazingly emotional. I get choked upwhenever I listen to it and I wonder how he can get through it without crying. It is obviously about someone's death, but I think he is trying to comfort himself or someone else who was affected by the passing. He seems to make sense in a beautiful way of the whole journey from life to no life. "and somewhere between the time you arrive and the time you go, maylie a reason you were alive but you'll never know" OMG I am crying just typing the words

  • This song NEVER bores. It is so intense like most of his songs

  • March 9th Thousand Oaks, calif! 2011 !

  • @PGHArtistGuy09 sorry, but The song "For A Dancer" is about Scotty Runyon. He was a very talented friend of Jackson's who was killed in a fire in the fall of 1973. Dancing was just one of his many accomplishments. Jackson even attended the funeral just days before his son Ethan Zane Browne was born
