Specs:
Wine version: 1.1.7
Linux dist: Ubuntu 8.10
Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB 177.80
Intel E6550 (2,333 GHZ) OCed to 2,8GHZ
2 gb RAM

The low framerate and the occasional framerate drop are caused by the screencasting program! Emulating Gamecube with Dolphin is far from perfect even in Windows, but they have come a long way!

If you aren't as lazy as me you can download and compile a Linux version from here (but then you will lack the Directx 9 plugin that sometimes work better, SSBM is one example of that):

  • @nieknooijens look at this date when this was posted

  • dolphin is NATIVE linux you know! no wine needed!

  • @ileenramos70

Doesn't slow down at all when I record.

  • Or you could just download the .deb without losing any performance :o

    Oh well

  • @DaweyYT Actually, it's been a while since ATI provides good proprietary drivers for Linux (you gotta at least have a newer card) .. I've got a 4870 too, works great.

  • @OCSmoke8 The PS3 lacks RAM. The BootOS project needs a little bit more access so we can map things like vram.

  • Once the CFW PS3 Linux gets the RSX drivers, this might run on PS3, with the rsx and the cell broadband cpu... Im guessing it will run pretty smooth

  • @gregnicenh You arte the guy who wrote that comment? lol

  • @VaygrX: lol. You're seriously bragging about a card that I had 5 years ago?
