Hi again ;-) this is the track "tiempo de festival" . You can find it on two Dave Weckl band CDs: "Perpetual motion" (studio version) and "live and very plugged in" (live version). This vid is from the DVD Drummers Collective 25th Anniversary Celebration & Bass Day 2002.
On the other side, the name of this music can be Jazz fusion or simply fussion

@mistahmaxi I don't see the point you're trying to make, dude.
Even if a drummer covers this it'll never be the same because they Weckl. And neither would Weckl be able to play like the dude who covered it. Every single player is individual.

@ryder187mac No I was trying to make the point clear that even if this guy plays, (as you would refer to as): "his own style".
But ofcourse there is somebody out in the world that plays something similar to "his style". This is just what I think, so don't try and throw this back on me...

Weckl and Portnoy are completely different drummers, and, you'll find that NO two drummers in the world are the same, every single drummer is different.

@paulwall1981 Sounds kind of like Mike Portnoy. I don't think there's ANY drummer in the world who has his/her 'own' style, if you catch my drift.
