This is a rather cheep but still quite scientific test reguarding how stable ATCP (AcetoneTriCykloPeroxide) really are.

The scenario is that you are (most likely) loaded with static electricity. When you pick up an object thats less/more loaded than you it will often create a small spark between you and the object.
(hope you understand where im going)
During a discussion about the sensetivety I decided to show every one, ones for all.

I took apart one of those "electric lighters" and saved the "piezoelectric crystal module" then extended both ends with wires to get at least a couple inches of safety distance. (!)
As you can se in the inro we have a small spark that gladly could be generated and loaded by your body friction towards ex. the floor.

First I made a couple of tests just to see if it was worth filming, thats when a REALLY realized what kind of suicidal substance I've made.

As you can see in the video it ignites directly. EVERY "SHOT"!

I REALLY HOPE, FOR YOU AND YOUR SURROUNDINGS SAKE, THAT YOU REALLY PAY ATTENTION TO THIS VIDEO CLIP!

Example:
Plastic and metall have a really good conductivity, and not least plastic, it can even charge up static electricety.
So now you stuffed you container with ATCP and you going to lift it...
(Do I even have to say something?)


EDIT:
The weight units thats displayed in the video isn't acurate. Just a advanced guess(well not that advanced really). But the last one is really one gram, and it almost detonated.
And the youtube video sound does definitely not give justice to the real deal.


I hope I made my point clear, yes I admit, it's really interesting and fun with pyrotechnics, bombs, rockets and so on. But for godsake! Stay away from ATCP, there is better explosives to use!
But if you (think that you) are the new messiah. It's up to you!

  • Jo vi har ju snackat en del, men det var några år sen sist. Sysslar du något med lås fortfarande? eller har du lagt ner det?

  • Om du kollar min användare har jag två låsfilmer uppladdade.

    Men i allmänhet blir det mest att jag hjälper folk med sina bilar, nycklar och framför allt borttappade nycklar.

    Jag håller inte på så mycket nuförtiden faktisk. själv? (Nu är jag i Norge och lossar fisk:)

  • They say to wet the TATP lightly with alcohol before pressing it into the blasting cap. Im guessing because of the sensitivity from static and then let it dry in there. Then you're ready to go.

  • @MrGreatmoviemaker no absolutely not, it's just good for a primer, rdx has a hell of alot of power. I don't know if you've heard of these but Dinitroazoxyfurazan has a VOD of 10,000 m/s and Octanitrocubane has a VOD of 10,100 m/s. Those make rdx and petn look like pussies on the lead block test. I have the synth for the Dinitroazoxyfurazan but there's like 50 steps and it's really hard to make, I just ran across a pdf of it.

  • Visst primärer är känsliga för statisk elektricitet men att använda en piezo kristall för att illustrera det bör isf jmf med den statiska elektricitet som en människa kan alstra. Varför inte göra detta genom att gnida något mot en ballong, kattskinn plaststav..
