NEW PHYSIC ENGINE for a screensaver :D
-
also what's interesting is that the more it spins from a collision, the less energy there is for general movement. so the speed that it moves is directly proportional to how much of the energy you put in made it spin.
more spinny, less speedy.
-
Well yes, but energy lost fromthe system if you consider dissapation into the wall material. It is unlikely (but not impossible) that the ball will regain this energy even if it strikes the same place again precisely.
-
well not lost, doesnt friction generate heat?
-
Yes because there is very little friction from particles, but no for these scenarios: there would still be friction between surfaces and energy loss due to this.

A.K.A. momentum in a vacuum.

That circle circle ball was cool

Anti-Gravity.

hahhaha lol nice vid 5*
if the bounciness of all the objects is 1 and there is no gravity or air friction, there is no energy lost to its surroundings, so whatever energy you exert on the object by moving it, will stay with the object adn it will never stop

you cant replicate this in 3d physics engines, like source or cryengine2
its actually a remarkable feat
