I first heard this when it was released back in 1969. It was a great song then and it still sounds great today - even if you don't like country and western.
Great song and well done by Judy Collins. She does come dangerously close to pronouncing "rodeo" as ro-DAY-oh like some sissy in Californy shopping for mink lined underwear but seemed to get closer to the proper RO - dee-O second time around. Don't know if it ever made it on the country charts but it should have. Performance and lyrics are bettern 95% of country music out there today. (I'm a fan of country music, I just like it, you know, good)
