10 years after living in Poitiers for a year on the Erasmus Student Exchange Programme, Evelyn revisits the city to see how much it has changed - or remained the same.
Great job!! I lived in Poitiers for a few years in the early 1980s and haven't been back since - good to see the Café du théâtre is still basically the same (but with less wood and more plastic than I recall) and Printemps hasn't changed AT ALL (eeek!) - yes, that's probably the same 1980s paintwork on the outside! :)
We also LOVED the Pub Magenta as it was called then.
At 7:28 you are standing in front of the Palais de justice - the square there was a popular hang-out for law students
I love this video. In 1966, I was a very young American soldier stationed at Caserne Aboville. I used to walk downtown every weekend. This brings back many memories of that beautiful city. Both my mother's parents came from Ireland, so it's another plus.
