This recording was part of an album Johnny did for Rounder in 1974. Personnell includes Whisnant on banjo, his wife June on guitar, Charlie Taylor (and not Benny Cain, that one is an earlier recording for the Rebel label) is on mandolin, Leroy Mumma plays fiddle and Don Mulkey is heard on bass. @chilcootgirl You will probably know that Johnnie played a Gibson All-American, a banjo that has the peghead shaped like an eagle. Well, he had two tuners that resembled that eagle's legs, coming out of the peghead. That way, by simply pushing his hand against them, he could de-tune both the second and the third string simultaneously, and also do the harmonics. I'm not sure I explained myself well, but there's a video of him on YouTube, and it shows how he did it.

I think she wasn't refering to that I think she wanted to know was how he did the D Tuner with the harmonics at the same time
