This video was taken a while ago, since you all had a glimpse of it in my Fun Taiwan Co-Host video, so I think I should just upload the complete video up here. :)

*To read the blog I wrote about this trip to Nantou, central of Taiwan: http://www.peggyteacheschinese.com/latest/2009/6/21/a-trip-to-nantou-central-...

  • You might not have wanted to post this video but I'm glad you did. I had met a nice Taiwan girl several years ago in the USA and she was from Puli. She returned to Taiwan but I always wondered what her city looked like. It was 28 years ago but your video reminded me of her and now I have an idea of what her home city looked like. Sometimes videos touch us in unexpected ways. Keep posting anything you feel is worthwhile. I love to see your homeland through your eyes. You're great.

  • @bobkool40 Thank you for sharing such a touching recollection with me. :) You should really come to Taiwan and see it for yourself though.

  • I clearly remember that I went to this place last spring. My friend made me taste most of the free samples :P

But in the end I liked the ice cream best. I am not used to the Taiwanese food really ;)

  • @teq1985 You did? That's awesome! I loved the sausage best. :P

  • wow! we went there in 2007 we didn't try any free wine or any liquor...we got free ice cream though.

  • FREE! :P

  • I went to Nantou county this summer. The view was so amazing.

  • Did you ever get your Zi8 Camera ? I just read all the comments and I agree with them all.

  • Yes, in most wholesale and supermarkets, you get to try the food/drink they sell. There'd be a salesman/ woman cooking it in front of you and you just try it for free. :)

  • Wow... you can just try alcohol and stuff like that... for free? That would never happen in Sweden... =/
