  • Thanks Christian for this !

I've loved The Grapes since the age of ten !

  • nice stagger, Tom-next time nix the beers before taking the stage- bad example for the kids...

  • nice little stagger there at the beginning, Tom- next time nix on the beers before taking the stage, perhaps?

  • @jesseminns, You're so right. A completely undermined era in Canadian music. The depth and quality of our indie movement was staggering in hindsight. A Detroit, or Liverpool, or Seattle without ever having been properly given it's due. Well said.

  • MY NAMES TOM HOOPER!!! OMG!!

  • If Tom came up in the 2000's in stead of the late 80's/90's CBC radio would have been all over him. All so-called 'indie' bands of today need to pay dues to G of W, Ginger, Skydiggers, 5440 and so many others.

The right people know. Jian Ghomeshi! Don't you remember the guys who stomped around canada with you in the early 90's?

Give them props on your show! They deserve it.

Before the internet. Before CBC got off their asses and started promoting every little thing that was hot.

  • HAAHH, heey uncle tom!!!!

  • Cool Video, I've been fortunate enough to see the Grapes live at the Rialto in Montreal back in their heyday in the late 80's. The grapes are responsible for influencing the acoustic sound my band tried emulating during the 90's... great stuff.

  • Grapes/Ginger great bands.
