I know it's not even close to how the piece is played, i'm mostly trying to work on my intonation here, the half holing and up lipping. Ignore the vibrato and everything else.... it was 97 degrees when i was doing this (and no A/C).

Primarily i'm just looking to learn to play the piece authentically, and it will be some time until i can do that, since aside from the wide vibrato, the piece has some trills, and up until know, i cannot figure out the method used to the play the static sounding duduk trills, although i think i'm getting closer, the more my technique improves.

  • My friend just a quick question I have a A duduk, that means I cannot play other song in other tone ? I mean can I play C normal with my A duduk ? or just CSharp ? thanks you !! just asking

  • @chuster777 Watch my video lesson series for Duduk. You use half holing technique to play notes like C natural on A Duduk. Here I'm half holing to play D#, since the melody is D# E F#.

  • fanthastic Sound, i like it !

  • As always your music enchants :) I am often reminded, when listening to your music, of how it must have been ages ago for people before the net, before TV or even radio, before even the phonograph. Almost always SOMEONE in the family could play some kind of instrument, and they would play, it wasn't always important how perfect it was, it was real and from the heart. Make it come from the heart first and perfection will follow only after.
