i also had a saturn and honestly i loved it , then came up the playstation and smashed it to pieces , if saturn had maintained its 2d exclusive strenght maybe it could win , but the hype was 3d at the time so.... then sega rushed onto the next gen , dreamcast which actually ended to turn up into sega's nightmare lol

i agree man , where nowadays everythings so over the top 3d shit i prefer to grab my ol master system and play 2d , why? much more fun.

@tribeofthesun the sad thing is that it wasn't the Saturn that fucked up per se (because it had a large share of amazing games on it), it's that SOA decided that no one would want to play all of the 2D games made for the saturn (which was the Saturn's strength - 2D sprite processing), said to the gaming public "Lol, don't buy this 2D shit," and basically killed the thing in America (the saturn was actually relatively successful in japan)

I'm a ninty kid but the Saturn's fucking-a.

yep it started there. the saturn fucked the whole thing. sega failed but they still were great back in the days from master system to the mega drive
