Freddy sleeps to the accompaniment of the song, "Serenity Applicator," suspended between an armchair and the scratching post.

To properly get the experience of Warhol's movie, Sleep, you should watch this video 70-80 times consecutively.

  • That´s funny, because I one had the same idea and filmed my sister´s cats sleeping. I called that short film "Cat Sleep".

  • arb 111 @ uhart loves andy warhol!!!!!!!!

  • no, actually, the original copy of sleep was 6 hours, then andy lengthened it to 8 hours. read his book "Popism,". He said it himself

  • actually the original copy of sleep was twenty four hours. the first viewing brought bad reviews so andy lowered it to about 5 hours for the public

  • well the star in sleep wasn't sleeping the whole time either.. warhol looped the footage, but either way both work wonderfully :]]

  • heheh. this is amazing.

  • You need only another 280 minutes, and you'll have the same length as Warhol's film. Contrary to popular belief, Sleep isn't 8 hours, but just under 5 hours (information courtesy of the Chicago Reader)...

  • Does Henry ever get jealous of Freddy's fame?

  • Technically, Freddy isn't really sleeping the whole time, but he is a great actor. "To get the experience of Warhol, you should watch this video 70-80 times consecutively." LMAO

  • Haha, I love it! John Giorno in kitty cat form.
