Brilliant ideas! I would like to apply your method to garden bed hooping. The 45 degree angle connectors on each end would allow me to make arches of variable height, by adjusting the length of the vertical end sections. Everyone else simply bends the PVC pipe cold, which leaves the tension in the pipe. I have had my cold-bent pipes shatter in the past due to stress. I'm in hurricane country, so I need something that will hold up to the stress of heavy wind and rain. Thanks again! ! !

could that be done with a 3" dia. pvc clear pipe?

@pickymickie & sdhamiltds, I haven't try this technique yet... but technically it should hold the shape after cooling :)

Great minds think alike, I'm working out the same situation Did you try arching the PVC for your camera track using this technique yet. If so how did it work out and did the formed PVC hold it shape after it cooled?

does the pipe stay circlular
Once you have the pipe in the circular shape you want it in and fill with hot water, let it sit, drain, let it cool, it will maintain it's circular shape.
