@maninblackshow Cash did not record this song at San Quentin in 1969. It was not released on the album, nor included on any of the repackaged versions (including the full concert legacy edition of 2006).
Cash did record this Merle Travis number at Folsom Prison on 01/13/1968, and it is the second cut on the original release LP.
In re to comment by promagnum: That wouldn't be Bob Wooton on guitar; the Cash recording featured Luther Perkins.
All this aside, it's a good performance.

Ok! Looking forward to hearing the recordings!

I swear this was the original thing! It sounded just like Cash's guitar, and Bob's guitar did on the original album!

Good job on the singing - sounds great, and I'm curious how the album will turn out.
I just hope it's not too much of an "impersonation", but rather turns out tribute-wise - since I heard you put Johnny's "one-liners" at the same place ("ain't it the truth").

We doin' the best we can, bro. Keep the faith -- it was high energy, and hopefully we did Cash justice. Godd Bless, and thanks!
