Emily Bear - a gifted child with lots of talent ( Part1)

If you don´t know emily bear...well you should,
in a few words emily is a pianist and composer of her own music, now she is 8 years but she has been playing since 2 by ear. Other things that is incredible, is that she compose each music in 5 or 10 min each. It´s amazing isn´t it!? for more informations click here

@DavithRedway i´m sorry but I´m portuguese so my english isn´t the best one but you see, this video was uploaded two years ago. I have been improving a lot since then by paying more atention to music, movies, talking with english people. All that helps a lot even if in Portugal we have english in school since 5th grade.

Do other 6 year olds get accepted to study with the head of Juilliard? or attend Aspen Music Festival? or play complete Mozart Concerto's with major symphonies? or perform at Ravinia since she was 5? or play concerts at The White House? or win an ASCAP composer of the year award - youngest in their history? If she isn't a prodigy - who is??

I am so amazed by Emilys talent, I have always wanted to be able to play the piano as she does so elegantly, what a wonderful little angel she is to bring such beautiful sounds into this world ......

@TheThreeWeavers Her parents got her a piano teacher BECAUSE she showed talent at a young age. If your child showed a talent in something, wouldn't you want him/her to develop that talent? Also, while many of "these so called gifted children are merely forced into it" i don't think Emily is one of them. Have you seen the joy on her face while she plays piano? I don't think she's forced at all.

...sure, you're really talented when mummy and daddy get you a piano teacher as an infant... course if she is self taught, then of course I take back what I say. However so many of these so called gifted children are merely forced into it.

I'm not too great with the overused "gifted" as much as it's clear that there's something in her brain that gives her the ability that she does have. Perhaps neurologists might find out what it is through a CT scan or an MRI one day....... or better yet maybe they shouldn't and just accept that she has this great ability.

I just hope that a nuclear apocalypse never happens, cos piano players and composers won't be in high demand, and she'll just get ignored in favour of chicks who can make a bow and arrows.
