  • So wonderful & magic..I love this man.

  • @UndyingBorracho

It's groups like CunninLynguists that keep me listening to hip hop. I'm fairly certain it was something my dad would have appreciated. He used to talk about how they "rapped" as kids, in Houston, and that it was "nothing new".

I hope it's artists like him that keep people listening to acoustic music. I say "acoustic" because I, like everybody else who has tried, am at a loss when it comes to categorizing his style.

  • @nebeskioganj Nailed it on the head. And they did the sample justice with a great song:)

  • @UndyingBorracho CunninLynguists - Georgia i bet this is the song u discovered Mickey :)

  • if you ever would have sat and talked with him you would have been soooo blown away... his family is awesome and he took me under his wing like i was one of his own... i loved sitting with him in his room towards the end with his daughter and him singing his songs. he was very special to me!

  • @BERSERKERpoetry

    ditto.

  • There is no one like Mickey. Chris K. said, Mikey was the one who inspired him to write his famous songs. For a real treat, get the album, "Live from Montezuma Hall". There is a song called Bugger Red that will crack you up every time you hear it. Also on that same dvd is a song "to Monica" that is equally funny. He guy was a genius and didn't even know it.
