Dropping my camera into the Virgin River

I was shooting a video as I floated the Virgin River in Zion National Park. I hit a rock and dropped my digital camera into the water. It was underwater four days before it was found and it still works just fine!

Was the camera waterproof?

Yes, supposedly it can be underwater for 30 minutes but it still works fine after spending about a week underwater...
