LOL I was just wondering if he hs the same crooked little fingers you, your sister and your dad has LOL. Still he looks like a great fighter. I remember your grandad telling me about him. I like that he calls himself the Professor. That's the family who gave him that name because of the boxing. Just like your dad's uncle was Sailor because he used to go back and forth to Brazil..... Your dad has a pretty mean south paw but is not a boxer thankfully LOL

Azumah Nelson was/is one of the Greatest Fighters of my time or any time.
I could not see his equal in the 1980s apart from the brilliant Julio Ceasar Chavez,Believe me Azumah is a great great Man.I can remember him wanting
Barry Mc Guigan and Azumah would have
killed him.

nelson would kill chavez nelson was a machine!

They fought common opponents, ask them who was better. Nobody kills a prime Chavez.

Fenech definately got robbed in the first fight

fenech had no power. nothing in his punches.i dont know how he got away with it for so long

well, fenech was coming up against a fighter here who could punch.Really, all azumah had to do was punch and fenech was open.its like fenech never had any defense.Totally open and an easy target.He was easy to hit

It was always said at the time that nobody would beat Nelson twice. I disliked his arrogance towards champion Barry McGuigan but Nelson was brilliant.

Hmm I seem to recollect my husband, Azumah's cousin, telling me that McGuigan accused Azumah of having AIDS and that's why he wouldn't fight him. They mentioned it in the news here but it very very quickly was quashed, Needless to say the Nelson family over in Ghana were not happy. My old man wanted to punch McGuigan's lights out! McGuigan is still shifty in his responses if asked about that LOL
