On July 4th weekend in 1978, almost 100,000 people crammed into the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX on the hottest day of the decade to watch their favorite bands. It was the first time a stadium rock show of this magnitude had ever been held in the south. It was the first of decades of stadium rock shows. Van Halen, Heart, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Journey, Eddie Money, Walter Egan, Headeast, Frank Marino, Cheech and Chong, and more!!!

I wasn't at the '78 Jam , but I did make the ones in '83,'84' & '85 . They should have handed out medals for making it all the way through the show ! Very much looking forward to this movie .

I been wanting to see footage from this show for years. There are some vids on youtube but not enough. Nugent, Aero, Van Halen just coming on the scene. OMG. Awesome.
Uploader what can you tell us about this documentary? Time , release, cost? Thanks.

Yes Frank is in it. Not only great interview footage but some live footage as well. Frank is a total bad ass and got the sh@t end of the stick for being forced to go on after Aerosmith. Had he played earlier in the day, who knows howe many more fans he would have had.
