  • this song & the cd itself got me thru a few chapters n life(still do when i need it). use 2 play this everyday like a radio station! things he was expressing & how he felt was so refreshing back then b/c there were very few male artist @ the time speaking about how comfortable they r w/ themselves & where they really r @ the moment. especially w/ words like "got my records & favorite shoes & no babies due", or "if it aint luv i dont want it"! i luv a confident man who luvs God/u & can say/show u

  • @Darkchild31 Side Note: KJLH has been playing hip hop in heavy rotation in the recent times. They still play classic soul but rarely play jazz crossovers now.

  • @Darkchild31 I know. It was a big hit on KJLH back in 1999-2000. 102.3 KJLH "The Artists You Know, The Songs You Love" was their slogan back then.

  • I went to see Rashaan Patterson in Sun 28 October, London, England – when we sang this song; I burst in to tears, 10 out 10, So magnificent, outstanding and excellent!!!!!!. Thank God for coming down to London. I know black people has brilliant voices, keep it up.
