On a sunny September afternoon a bunch of hangies, a solo PG and a few remote sail planes take to the skies above Hill 60 near Wollongong, each enjoying the air and at times joined by the local feathered friends.
Featuring in launch order, MrAndrew1101, Greg, Trev, Big Fred, Bill and later Mark flew over from the lower cliffs to join us too. Most of us are flying Airborne Funs, Bill flies a Malibu, and Big Fred a North WIng.
This site works well in a strong NE and we all had flights well over an hour - plenty of smiles and a shared cold ale at the end of a few hours of fantastic flying!

  • Ah that's the good stuff, I can smell the salt air!

  • @pdutube Hill 60 is a tight little bay but we all manage to share the air - even with the pelicans and remote control planes...live the experience!

  • Fantastic flights, nice site. I'd travel the 16.354 kms just to join you there ;-)

  • @chiefishere Hill 60 is a fantastic little site on a good day and worth the drive..16K+ kms is a big commitment, but on a good day you like this one you wouldn't be disappointed :-)

  • Nice edit Mr101. you set a high bar.... lol. Ive had a problem with my editing program but the Tec at Adobe has sorted it out. I'll see what I can come up with in the next week or so!

  • @bigfred190 thanks Fred, captured all the fun and activity of the day. Looking forward to seeing your work. Nice flying mate!

  • Lots of Funs doin' just that, a slippery Freedom, a nice "smokey" Mal and your usual Spielberg-esk stuff.

    Well done mate.

  • @MrAndrew1101 Vicarious, ashamed to say had to look that one up...."Felt or undergone as if one were taking part in the experience".. very impressed Andrew :)

  • @MrLiftHog thanks John, the last few weeks has been good on the coast here after a long run of poor weather, inland not so much with the aerotowing cancelled for this weekend. The forecast for this weekend is more strong southerlies and that will mean plenty more flying :-) I know the feeling of that itch to fly when it has been a long time, patience is a virtue! Glad you enjoyed the vid, at times we live vicariously!!

  • Can't get enough of this MrA. Keeps me entertained 'till I can finally get the Malibu out of the bag over here in the west.

    Thanks, John.
