Well, my buddy 7notemode suggested I go with some more avant guarde free imrov like the solo piece "Arrival" on my myspace. So here it is.

The ostinato is usually all fourth voicings, sometimes based on the diminished scale, sometimes based on the lydian scale, sometimes predictable, sometimes not, sometimes in 5/4, somtimes in 4/4, .................. you get the picture.

Just take the inverse ratio of tangent cos 2x and multiply by pi, whereas X always is greater than 1 but never directly proportional to it's own gravity.

I hope that explains it well enough. Seriously though, I got fed up with practicing Debussy and Corea so I took a break to record this and clear my mind.

  • This is very nice. :)

  • Thx Lufia. XD

  • You've got all my favorite colors here: 5ths in the LH. Tritones, Maj7ths, 9ths, 4ths and some pentatonics thrown in for good measure. Now that's what I'm talkin 'bout. Great stuff TJ.

  • I feel like I should give you and electronic high five.
