Where do you think The Rolling stones got there music from? What about the Beatles, Elvis, Fleetwood Mac and LedZeplen, they all were influenced by Black Blues musicians from the 40's- 50's, heck Jimi Hendrix jammed Bob Dylen and Muddywater's, before he Rocked out, so why can't Prince take from sly stone Jimi and James Brown ? My point is they all influence each other.
