Raul Maschiocchi will be representing Tango Ireland this year. After a successful European tour in 2010 where he stopped by Ireland twice, it is a pleasure to welcome him at our festival. Raul Is one of the best known Maestros of Buenos Aires and the creator offamous Practica X. Leaning towards the nuevo side of tango, Raul's classes are always a very much enjoyed y his students as he manages to mix fun, precision and creativity! He ill be teaching with one of his assistants.

Enrique started his career as a tango dancers 15 years ago and started dancing with Marion during on of his European tour. Their encounter in 2006 generated a tango of energy, emotions & elegance, combining elements of Milonguero & Nuevo tango. Their unique style represents the evolution of tango as it has transformed throughout the 20th century.The couple made their debut very rapidly in the international tango circuit and, since 2007, have worked with the world's top Maestros & orchestras in various international festivals and shows. In their classes, they focus on the connection of partners & encourage their students to achieve strength less postures, body awareness, rigorous technique and an understanding of the dynamics of moves.

Both born in Tucumán, a province in the Norwest of Argentina, they have lived in Buenos Aires since 1989 and have been dancing tango together since 1999. They have studied with some of the most famous tango masters, such as Esther and Mingo Pugliese, Giselle Anne and Gustavo Naviera, Natalia Games and Gabriel Angió, Carolina Bonaventura and Demián Garcia and others. They reached the final of the World Championship of Tango de Salón in 2004 and 2010 and the final of the Metropolitano Championship of Tango de Salón in 2007. They have toured Europe and the States on many occasions and have also perfomed at some of the most prestigious milongas of Buenos Aires.

Lia and John both started to dance tango in 2005 although they did not meet until 2010. They learned their tango skills mainly from extended trips to Buenos Aires, taking classes in all styles of tango. They enjoy blending traditional and modern movements. In their teaching they focus on elements of each style with important technique for keeping one's balance and connecting to one's partner, as well as the interpretion of the music and most importantly the enjoyment of the embrace. Since 2008 John has been teaching and DJing abroad and now organises several big tango events in Berlin. Lia is an actress based in London.
Claudio "Gaucho" Dupas & Jazmin Chiodi: Che Tango
Jazmin grew up in Buenos Aires where she developed her career along tango, contemporary & somatic techniques. In Ireland since 2005 she is the co director of Iseli Chiodi Contemporary Dance Company & Che Tango in Cork. Her passion for tango takes roots in both the quintessential music of Buenos Aires and her experience of the body as a vehicle of emotion, able to nreak down the barrier of language. This year she is joined by Argentinean Claudio "Gaucho" from Buenos Aires, a dancer who has for many times left his native Buenos Aires to teach and perform tango in different European cities.

Simona has been teaching Tango in Ireland for the past few years, after training with some of the most renowned tango maestros around the world (including tango legend Pablo Veron, star in Sally Potter's film 'The Tango Lesson'). Simona currently runs weekly classes in Dublin for all levels. She is also the director of the International Tango Festival in Ireland, a showcase of the best tango dance and music that attracts hundreds of aficionados from Ireland and abroad.

John has been dancing tango for the past ten years He first studied under Gustavo Porter, Claudio Omar and El Chino and later with Nestor Castillo. John teaches traditional salon style tango and has been doing so for the past seven years in Dublin. With his partner Aoibhin, John endeavors to facilitate new dancers to find the passion within tango and become absorbed by the music & dance. With appearances on both stage & screen, Aoibhin's vision is to bring tango back into the salons where it began & enable all who want to learn it to embody the essence of the dance.
