nice thanks for the technique..... its so simple i never even thought of it! I purchased a slingshot rev 2009 model and havent used it yet cause i thought it was too dangerous to launch and land by my self!!! Well at least this is 50% of the problem handled!

I've been using same technique with my North Rebel for some time now, works perfect :)

At the last moment you just pull the kite hard down?

When the kite is about 10 feet off the ground, just pull on the bar to turn the leading edge into the ground (it doesn't have to be a hard pull). Once the kite is on the ground, pull whichever rear line that will force the kite to face into the wind. (This will be a firm pull to turn the kite approx. ½ turn into the wind.) Then, unhook and move quickly to the kite to fine tune the direction in which the kite is facing.
