Bike Path from the Shepherdstown Bridge to the C and O Canal

This shows the new (2005) bridge across the Potomac River from Maryland into West Virginia at Shepherdstown, as well as the bike and pedestrian path that goes down from the bridge to the towpath at Lock 38 of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.

Is there an inn on the WV side of the bridge called the Bavarian Inn?? If so, I've crossed that bridge, and stopped to see part of the C & O Canal on my way to Antietam.

Been there, ridden that...for an overhead view of the James Rumsey bridge and Shepherdstown, go up to Ferry Hill plantation and go over to the side lawn of the house overlooking the bridge and the river.
