Sorry to hear that Anderson died on August 8, 2011. He was given an admiring obituary in The Economist.

@alexandradixon - In the film "The Corporation" Ray Anderson especially was very inspiring indeed! (He has been an inspiration for the lyrics of this solar power song on youtube: watch?v=8W_sR-fbKo0 )

Fricken' idiots!!! It's all about money! This guy makes me sick. It's ALL about your "CARBON FOOTPRINT". The government will tax companies because of their carbon footprint. Also, if a company comes up with ways of offsetting their carbon footprint, they will have more carbon credits to trade. Research carbon trading and the Chicago Climate Exchange...Al Gore and this guy are real winners...NOT!!! Actually, Al gore is winning because he is part owner in the Chicago Climate Excange. UNREAL.

I am writing a report now about this issue, I agree completely with him. CEOs are responsible and have the position and power to make positive change.
I wonder if Ray is aware of and advocating for industrial hemp. he seems to be in an idustry that could utilize it. It is a very needed material to transform ourselves to a sustainable society. It could replace many petro chemicals.

I was just channel surfing and saw a few minutes of "The Corporation" on LinkTV. This man was speaking, and I thought, I have to find out who he is. So, a few minutes later I found out he's Ray Anderson of Interface Carpet. He reminds me of Jimmy Carter, in the cadence of his speech and the absolute clarity of his statements and their moral purity.
