Aloe Vera Gel straight from the Aloe Leaf

I encourage soap and lotion makers to use it right from the leaf to get the full benefits. Aloe is great and if you have your own aloe plant, its cheap!

I blend up the chunks before using in recipes. I also like to take the extra that is left in the bowl and apply it right to my face. Always makes my skin feel nice.

how do i store it & how long will it last for?

@HappyBirthdaySANTA You can store it for 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator after it has been removed from the leaf.

You dnt hve to do that u can just cut the aloe vera leaves in good sized chunks with the leaf of course and put it in a plastic bag and the in a refridgerator and it will be good for 4-5 days dnt listen to the comment below me because dey mostlikely dnt hve a grandmother from mexico dat knows a lot about aloe vera

If you are going to use aloe straight from the plant make sure it is used within 2 hours else it starts to deteriorate and get contaminated as it oxidizes like an apple does. Also, there are only 4 aloe types that have healing benefits, the best is aloe barbadensis miller. Obviously if its organic, that's great too! Don't ingest any of the rind or any of the gel that is really close to the rind inside the leaf.
