Crossing info: 2 1980's Safetran Cantilevers with 12x20 WCH Clear LED's with 1 WCH Type 3 Electronic Bell and 1 WCH Type 1 Electronic Bell. Both are Generation 1.

Wayside horns are silly. once people figure out they're just part of the crossing, they'll disregard it and continue to try to run the crossing like they always did.

Not to mention, quiet zones and wayside horns take a lot of the fun out of watching trains.

People need to suck it up. Some noise, like train horns, is just part of life. Should be no surprise, though, that the same people who want train horns gone also want lawnmowers to be silenced. Gimme a break. Selfish pigs!

OK Everyone needs to get over themself! when one of these wayside horns isnt loud enough to let motorist know there's a train coming then the family will be on the railroads ass for not blowing the horn! they'll say your Shit outa luck because you complained about the noise when it could save someones life!!!

I love wayside horns! The bell is the exact same as one of the crossings in my town and it also has clear LEDs but they don't flash like that and there are no wayside horns.

They just installed those same bells at a pedestrian railroad crossing at one of the train stations in my city.
