Tom Holmes - thinking you can read a MicroSD card in a DVD drive (Clip 1 / 3)

A little intro - Clip 1 of 3
This video involves a boy called Tom Holmes. The person filming is himself, he is 18 years old and is an A-Level Computing student at Greenhill sixth form (college / high school?). He doesn't know how to read a MicroSD card for a mobile phone, I had told him before that you could plug his phone into the computer with a USB cable, or use a bluetooth dongle, or use a memory card reader to read the card itself.

I jokingly suggested he used his DVD drive to read it, he took the bait and hilarity insued. He streamed himself doing it on Qik so we could 'help' him, so its all on video and now we've grabbed the vids to upload here. Making him do this was the work of Jack Jenkins (twitter @jackthewelshman), Luke Allen (twitter @vodouman), Roberto Sarrionanda (twitter @ tito2502) and Alex. We guided him on MSN and were discussing it on Skype.

I cannot believe anyone would try this. See clips 2 and 3 for more stupidity, clip 3 is good as he finds a "mobile phone holder" feature on his laptop!!!!
