RIGHEIRA (VAMOS A LA PLAYA)(1983)

Righeira es un dúo italiano de música Italo Disco originarios de Turín. El grupo fue fundado en 1981 por Stefano Rota y Stefano Righi. Se volvieron famosos en Europa con su sencillo "Vamos a la playa" (1983).

Un año después el éxito volvió a aparecerse ante ellos con el sencillo "No tengo dinero" (1984). Ambas canciones fueron famosas en los ránkings. "L`estate sta finendo" ("El verano se acabó", 1985), otro sencillo lanzado en 1985 fue un número uno en Italia, pero no llegó a los ránkings internacionales.

En 1986 la banda participó del Festival de San Remo con su canción "Innamoratissimo" ("Enamoradísimo", 1986), quedando en el 15º lugar.

Al loro esordio infatti si fecero conoscere come Michael & Johnson Righeira. Michael e Johnson, come loro stessi spiegarono, erano i soprannomi che aveva dato loro il professore di educazione fisica delle superiori.

They became famous in continental Europe for their single Vamos A La Playa (Let's Go To The Beach), composed together with Carmelo and Michelangelo La Bionda and released in 1983. Differing from the consensus that the song has none or little depth, the song's content is rather serious and addresses the danger of atomic bombs and the problem of beach pollution. The track reached #53 in the UK Singles Chart.

1984 a year later, it was followed up by their single No Tengo Dinero (Spanish: I Don't Have Money). Both singles were successful in the charts. L'estate Sta Finendo (The Summer Is Over), was released in 1985 and became a number one hit in Italy, but failed to peak the charts in other countries.

In 1986 the band participated in the San Remo Music Festival with their song Innamoratissimo (Most In Love) and placed #'15´th.

Toppin' high in 1987 with another Smash Hit: Oasi In Citta', a Voice succeeded Synth Pop track including Sega sound samples [Known from many popular games released by the Corporation] & a beautiful tune of Sax, became an instant World Success. The Sax Solo has since been a reminding mark & sign of the song until present.

Die Single L'estate sta finendo (1985) war in Italien ein Nummer-eins-Hit, in Deutschland und anderen Ländern jedoch nur mäßig erfolgreich.

Im Jahr 1986 nahmen sie am Sanremo-Festival teil und belegten Platz 15.

Der Inhalt von Vamos a la playa, Righeiras größtem Hit und ebenso wie No tengo dinero mit spanischem Text, ist weit weniger belanglos, als im deutschsprachigen Raum allgemein angenommen wird: Das Lied handelt von der Explosion einer Atombombe sowie der Umweltverschmutzung am Mittelmeer.

Um ano depois foi seguida pelo single "No tengo dinero". Ambos os singles fizeram sucesso nas paradas musicais. "L'estate sta finendo", foi lançada em 1985 e ficou em primeiro lugar na Itália, mas não conseguiu fazer sucesso nas paradas musicais de outros países.
Em 1986 a banda participou no Festival de Sanremo com sua canção "Innamoratissimo" que ficou na 15ª colocação.
O Single "Vamos A La Playa" é sempre tocado nas radios espanholas.
