Death Valley, CA USA Part 1

Day 1: San Francisco to Tracey on the 580. Through the Eldorado Forest on the 88 to The Woodfords

Day 2: From the Woodfords keep heading East until you hit the 395. Head south past Lake Mono while snaking in and out of Nevada. Furnace Creek awaits at the end of long day

Day 3: Take the 178 from Furnace Creek out to Lake Isabella. Pack water, tire repair kit, spare fuel & a radar detector

Day 4: Stay on the 178 until you hit the 5 North back to San Francisco

Trip Highlights:

In December.. the Serra Nevada is beautiful & too cold for most. The 395 is a riding pleasure, which in the latter part of the year will split desert and snow. There's nothing in Lake Isabella.. but the ride out of the place is great fun.
