  • Wait a min who is that in the back ground ,this is truely a nice song

  • The message stands today, particularly when our Republican candidates for 2012 are talking about bombing Iran. The b"big guys" won't go, just send all of those who join the military, many of whom are doing it, not out of some ideal of patriotism, they just can't find a job. When will we ever learn.

  • Bring them home..God Bles the USA

  • @MrRaye1 And they will...by New Years' Eve this year...thank goodness!!

  • I was 12 also and I may have sung this song eery day of the year.

I've got to laugh because I still sing in some what regularly.

Love you FREDA!, You'll always be my girl!

  • "BRING 'EM BACK ALIVE"',Bring the boys home!

  • If I remember correctly Congress 'condemned and called this song unpatriotic' and actually passed some sort of 'resolution'.. . We need to send every member of Congress a copy of it now! It's just a great song about a sad and unforgiving war. The way I look at it Freda was right!

  • Terrific song and song artist, Ms. Freda Payne. Took a whole lot of Guts to record this song!

  • wont hear it on the radio cause just like they did 40 yrs ago its not allowed cause it is anti war. i have send it to all the radio stations here in the Midwest and have yet to hear it play nor spoken about... EMR

  • Wow! I almost forgot about this song! It came out when I was a little boy when the Vietnam War was going on. My older brother or sister bought this record on a 45 RPM. Remember them? Anyway, I still think about this song on occasion even though it was so long ago. Great and nostalgic memories! Thanks for uploading it here!
