Having never heard of a Clanger before, I must confess that this out-of-context clip made my head spin like a weekend-long David Lynch marathon subtitled in Portuguese. Nice to see that kids' TV was taking an interest in Newtonian mechanics, however. In my day, He-Man taught us that you can simply PUSH a moon out of orbit when you need to delay high tide. That didn't help at all come final exam time.

The very first episode of the Clangers was shown on November 16th, 1969. The first manned moon landing was on July 20th, 1969. It seems that you've been misinformed.
