If a person is dependant upon obscenity to express themselves it does show an immature or rudimentary understanding of the language. There's nothing wrong with throwing in an expletive to drive home a point, though.

Sid didn't make any music. He never played on a Sex Pistols album and only did covers of other people's music in his solo "career" so, technically, he was never a part of the creative process.
