  • Respect to Dyko. Great performance!

  • @MrKraftwerk1 That was my sophmore year in High School. I'm a senior now. I wish I still had German. The class got rid off since all these budget cuts started happening in Florida. Sad right?

  • @P3tRiCk3o5 guten tag... haha... by the concert this weekend... what year do you mean?

  • @t0rment2004

Im 47 , I always grew up thinking DEVO copied Kraftwerk when I was a teenager.

and of course back then I had no internet to research,

so later I figured out that DEVO without knowledge of Kraftwerk: especially in consideration of the fact that DEVO started as an art collective in 1972!

However I do have to sAy, Im practically positive DEVO's look by the time of Freedom of Coice was totally plagerized off of Man Machine

  • @bmwman87 What he's playing there is a Roland pad. The same shape as the ones he used to play in KW, but the old ones were made by him, early drum machines modified to have metal pads. Interestingly enough, Jim Mothersbaugh, who played drums for DEVO before Alan Myers, made a set of electronic drums around the same time. I'm not sure who did it first or how Jim's e-drums worked.

  • @kratzda Hilpert can play electronic percussion; if you hear a live recording of "The Model" from the 1991 tour, all the drum sounds are played by him. He's primarily an engineer, but he can drum a bit too!
