Frank Sinatra
Reprise Recordings 1969
(J. Lennon, Paul McCartney)
[Recorded February 20, 1969, Hollywood]

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now they look as though they're here to stay,
Oh I believe in yesterday, oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly I'm not half the man I used to be.
There's a shadow hanging over me, oh yesterday came suddenly.
Why she had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away, oh I believe in yesterday.
Why she had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong , now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play,
Now I need a place to hide away, oh I believe in yesterday

  • @THOMASB19792009 This song was writing by paul mccartney

  • I wonder as I listen to this, rather sincere, rendition of Yesterday if when watching the Ed Sullivan show in 1964, Ol' Blue Eyes was thinking "hey - I'm going to be covering their songs by the end of the decade" or if he was thinking "they'll be history before I eat my breakfast tomorrow." OR - if any of the parents were thinking "I'll take my Frank Sinatra records, over these four long-hairs - thank you very much!"

  • john lenin and paul macabi kicks the ass of the great singer who never loves the rock thank u BEATLES
